Join us in the DC and Baltimore areas for the first installment of an immersive film workshop with acclaimed filmmaker Haile Gerima!
Beginning Jan 12th, the first cohort will embark on a journey in storytelling. Educators Bradford Young, Alan Ferguson, Daniel E. Williams, and Russell Santos will be joining Haile Gerima in hosting workshops on the pillars of filmmaking.

Sankofa Film Workshop 2024
SANKOFA FILM WORKSHOP 2024 is a unique iteration of the institutions workshops in that it is taking the students through the initiation of actually making a film from story idea to the editing table.
Haile Gerima in collaboration with Alan Ferguson are building generations of Black filmmakers ready and equipped to tell their story.

Luxor African Film Festival
Independent filmmaker Haile Gerima held several masterclasses at Luxor African Film Festival over the course of five years. Empowering aspiring filmmakers from all of over Africa, to tell their stories in their own accent.
